The Location
I can and do travel to paint weddings. I live in the Birmingham, Alabama area and 2-hrs of drive time is included in my starting price. I have traveled as far as central Pennsylvania to paint a live wedding. For longer trips and additional miles over the 2-hr drive window from Birmingham, a mileage and hotel travel fee premium will incur. If your venue is distant, please reach out to get a firm and accurate quote for the total charge to paint live at your wedding venue.
The Process
On the day of your wedding, I arrive at the venue hours early, set up my easel, and paint the background scene. Photos taken during the ceremony are used as reference material to incorporate the bride and groom into the background during the reception. Guests will want to watch and ask questions as the event and painting unfold together. Your painting will be completed by the end of the party, ready to take home and be treasured for years to come.
The Painting
I am happy to work with you to determine the scene that you would like painted. If there is there something that you would like edited in your painting or would like added, let me know. Above all, I want you to love your painting! My live painting package starts with an 18 x 24-inch archival grade canvas. I use quality acrylics while painting live. The completed painting will be varnished for glow and polish, with ready-to-hang hardware in an elegant black and gold frame.
